29). Acholi People, Pray to be Fruitful in Everything you do.
Since we are created in God’s image, we are to be fruitful, or creative. This is often called the “creation mandate” or “cultural mandate.” God brought into being a flawless creation, an ideal platform, and then created humanity to Continue the creation project. “God blessed them, and God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth’” (Gen. 1:28a).
God could have created everything imaginable and filled the earth himself. But he chose to create Humanity to work alongside him to actualize the universe’s potential, to participate in God’s own work. It is Remarkable that God trusts us to carry out this amazing task of building on the good earth he has given us. Through Our work God brings forth food and drink, products and services, knowledge and beauty, organizations and communities, growth and health, and praise and glory to himself.
The Bible often uses the metaphor of fruit to describe the produce of our lives. Let’s pray for all Acholi people everywhere and around the globe that they’ll be fruitful wherever the Lord has placed them.
Let’s pray to God just as Israel was blessed and fruitful everywhere they went, so shall the Acholi people be. We should be fruitful in our finances, businesses, politics, Education, influences, Governance, explorations, jobs, work, and everywhere. Let God make our people to have a frontier spirit like the children of Japheth child of Noah. That we will be leaders in everything we do. Let the children we produce be the best in everything they do. The best in music, politics, Education, culture, business, sports, games, knowledge, wisdom, technology, science and so on. Just as Joseph was the best everywhere he went.
Genesis 39:2-5
And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the LORD [was] with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand. And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all [that] he had he put into his hand. And it came to pass from the time [that] he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.
Genesis 1:28
And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
In blessing you have blessed us, in multiplying you have multiplied us, in prospering you have prospered us, but only in fruitfulness have you not made us fruitful. Lord, we come before you as A people that knows the worth of fruitfulness. Make the Acholi people fruitful in everything they do. Let our children be planted like seeds of Beryl in every land near and far. Let Pilots, President’s, Ministers, Commanders, Chief Justices, Speakers of Parliament, Astronauts, Scientists, Philosophers, Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists and all the influential people come from us. That we can fill the top places in Government. Father you are able and capable. For what is too hard for you. Amen.
John 15:16
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
Yes, indeed Lord, you chose us for a people that are set apart to observe your ways and your commandments. You chose and appointed us that we should go, and bear fruit should abide. We decree and we declare that we shall be the planting of the Lord and wherever he shall plant us we shall abide. and bear fruits and produce Godly offspring to dominate and to rule. In Jesus name. John 15:8
By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.
We shall in no wise seek the desires of our hearts, to Satisfy our greed but seek for that which pleases you. The Acholi people shall be a people after your own heart, dedicated and consecrated unto you. We shall be fruitful in the gospel, to preach it and evangelize the unevangelized among us and those of the neighbouring tribes and Nations, you will send us to. We shall be a kingdom within your kingdom. We shall bear fruit that is good and pleasing unto you. In Jesus great and mighty name. Amen.
Philippians 1:6
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the Day of Jesus Christ.
The work that you begun in us years ago Abba Father shall surely be accomplished. You will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. For it pleased you that you should create a tribe called the Acholi people. We are proud of who you made us to be. You back us up on every side. You have covered us under your wings like a mother hen covers her chicks. Father completes the work that you begun in us, till the day Jesus Christ will come back. Amen.
Isaiah 58:11
And the Lo r d will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters Do not fail.
Our Oracle shall be your words, our refuge, Rock, and shelter shall be you. Our hope shall be in you now and forever more. You have made us the food basket of Uganda and satisfied our desire in scorched places. Your presence has made our bones strong, and you have made us like a spring of water whose waters do not fail. Thank you, Abba father, for making us fruitful. You are so good, and your goodness surpasses our understanding. Thank you, Jesus, in your great and mighty name we pray. Amen.
Deuteronomy 28:10-11
And all the peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lo r d, and they shall be afraid of you. And the Lo r d will make you abound in prosperity, in the fruit of your Womb and in the fruit of your livestock and in the fruit of your ground, within the land that the Lo r d swore to your fathers to give you.
When your work in us is done all peoples of the earth shall see that you have called us by your name Lord, and they shall be afraid of us. You will make us abound in prosperity, in the fruit of our Wombs and in the fruit of our livestock and in the fruit of our ground, within the land that you have given us Lord in every life you are, everything starts to flourish, because are the power behind every good thing. Make your abode with the Acholi people. In Jesus name.

1 Peter 4:10
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied Grace: Thank you Lord for richly rewarding and gifting the Acholi people. You have given us potential children who each have gifts that they can minister with to the needs of others. Every single gift the world has is found among the Acholi. We shall use our gifts to serve you and our nation. For God and My Country. Amen.
Isaiah 65:21-23
They shall build houses and inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit. They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat; for like the days of a Tree shall the days of my people be, and my chosen shall long enjoy the work of their hands. They shall not labour in vain or bear children for calamity, for they shall be the offspring of the Blessed of the Lo r d, and their descendants with them.
30). Let’s pray for the Acholi people that God will give them Godspeed to overcome the spirit of delay.
The word Godspeed (or god speed) comes from the Middle English god Speid, a derivative of the phrase God spede you. Its first known use was in the 15th century. Godspeed is an expression of goodwill when someone is About to start a journey or venture on a daring endeavour. It is akin to saying, “I wish you good success” or “May God prosper you.” The latter half of the compound word, speed, has nothing to do with Swiftness; rather, the verb speed used to mean “to prosper or succeed.”
Interestingly, the word goodbye goes back to a contraction of “God Be with ye” and carries a similar idea—God’s presence is wished for the Person so that he will succeed and prosper.
During the LRA war, when other tribes were busy building their civilizations, the Acholi were kept behind because nothing was going on except war, for over 30 years. This has been the biggest delay to the Acholi people’s development. Children stopped studying, business was down, our politicians became beggars instead of way-pavers, No freedom of worship, no proper settlement but IDP CAMPS, our young men were being abducted and turned into boy soldiers, our young girls turned into rebel wives, the Government used us to solicit for money from Western Countries of which we saw little. Poverty ravaged our homes and left us wretched. Just as Elijah ran on foot and was able to overtake the chariot of King Ahab 1 Kings 18:41-46, so will the Acholi people gain God speed in building up what was delayed progress.
1 Kings 18:41-46
[41] And Elijah said to Ahab, “Go, eat and drink, for there is the sound of a heavy rain.”
[42] So Ahab went off to eat and drink, but Elijah climbed to the top of Carmel, bent down to the ground, and put his face between his knees.
[43] “Go and look toward the sea,” he told his servant. And he went up and looked. “There is nothing there,” he said. Seven times Elijah said, “Go back.”
[44] The seventh time the servant reported, “A cloud as small as a man’s hand is rising from the sea.” So, Elijah said, “Go and tell Ahab, ‘Hitch up your chariot and go down before the rain stops you.’”
[45] Meanwhile, the sky grew black with clouds, the wind rose, a heavy rain started falling and Ahab rode off to Jezreel.
[46] The power of the Lord came on Elijah and, tucking his cloak into his belt, he ran ahead of Ahab all the way to Jezreel.
Isaiah 51:14
The captive exile shall speedily be freed; and he shall not die [and go down] into the pit, neither Shall his bread fail.
Father God of the entire Universe, we bless your name for all the wonderful works you have done among the Acholi people since the beginning of time. For you have never left us on our own. You have always walked with us down every path. You have given us strength where we were weak. You have held our head high where it was stooping low. You have given us courage where we lacked courage. We give you all the glory oh Lord. We declare and decree that every captive Acholi in Exile will be freed speedily. And they shall not die and go down to the pit and food shall never become scarce in their house. In Jesus name. Amen.
Isaiah 58:8
Then your light shall break forth as the morning, and your healing shall spring forth speedily; and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard.
In Jesus great and mighty name, we declare and decree that the light of the Acholi people shall break forth as the morning and whatever was delayed in their lives, we bid them Godspeed that they will grow at an abnormal speed, and the people round about the them shall be amazed at how fast the Lord as prospered the Acholi. Every disease and sickness that causes the Acholi to lose great numbers of people shall heal speedily, the land also shall heal speedily from sin and iniquity, the righteousness of the Acholi shall go forth before them and they shall forever be known as a Godly people.
Joel 3:4
“Yes, and what are you to me, Tyre, and Sidon, and all the regions of Philistia? Will you repay me? And if you repay me, I will swiftly and speedily return your repayment on your own head.
Yes father, surely, we are compassed about by great multitudes of hating tribes that do not want to see the progress of the Acholi. And because of that Lord, we pray that you confound them, just like you confounded the soldiers of the philistines when they came to wage war on Samaria and they were smote with blindness. So let every tribe that plans evil against us by pass and go into another territory. For Day and night, neighbouring tribes plan on how to bring us down, but because you are with us, we shall be triumphant over every situation. We shall hold our peace and you shall fight for us our battles. In Jesus name. Amen.
Psalms 31:2
Bow down your ear to me. Deliver me speedily. Be to me a strong rock, a house of defense to
Save me.
We the Acholi have nowhere to run but to you. When we were in the deepest agony of war, we cried to you and you listened to our hurting voice and gave us peace. Father, we pray that you be a strong rock to us forever, a refuge and our hiding place where we’ll always be safe. Be though our safe refuge Abba Father. Save us from any lurking danger. In Jesus name. Amen.
Psalms 69:17
Don’t hide your face from your servant, for I am in distress. Answer me speedily!
Right now, we are in distress oh creator of the universe. You allotted unto us a piece of your big universe that we would call home. You gave us a share of your land that would always be ours. But now the abominable are trying to take it from us. Oh father, rise up speedily and judge our case, rule in our favour for you are a God of truth and you as the land owner know very well that that is the land you gave to us for an inheritance on the earth. We have not cheated, robbed, or grabbed anybody’s land. What we fight for what is truly ours. Do not suffer it to be taken from us. We trust you are ruling in our favour. In Jesus name. Amen.
Titus 3:13
send Zenas, the lawyer, and Apollos on their journey speedily, that nothing may be lacking for them.
Send oh King of Kings, great Lawyers from all over the world to come and stand with us where we are weak, that we may gain victory. We know that you will do us good for our cries have reached your ears, and our tears have reached its peak. Do not make us cry any longer. Our eyes have become sore from crying, and we have lost our voices Lord. Send us helpers speedily. Men of truth and integrity to help us in our battles. In Jesus name. Amen.
