DAY 33 OF 40 DAYS. Suing the NRM Government, particularly President YK Museveni, for Inciting Violence, Responsibility for Causing Injuries, Torture, Killings, Destruction of Properties, and Illegal Eviction of Apaa Residents, with Intent.

Joshua 7:17-26
He brought the clan of Judah, and he took the family of the Zarhites; and he brought the family of the Zarhites man by man, and Zabdi was taken. 18. Then he brought his household man by man, and Achan the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, was taken. 18. Now Joshua said to Achan, “My son, I beg you, give glory to the Lord God of Israel, and make confession to Him, and tell me now, what you have done; do not hide it from me.”

20.And Achan answered Joshua and said, “Indeed I have sinned against the LordGod of Israel, and this is what I have done: 21. When I saw among the spoils a beautiful Babylonian garment, two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold weighing fifty shekels, I coveted them and took them. And there they are, hidden in the earth in the midst of my tent, with the silver under it.”

22.So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran to the tent; and there it was, hidden in his tent, with the silver under it. 23. And they took them from the midst of the tent, brought them to Joshua and to all the children of Israel, and laid them out before the Lord. 24. Then Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, the silver, the garment, the wedge of gold, his sons, his daughters, his oxen, his donkeys, his sheep, his tent, and all that he had, and they brought them to the Valley of Achor. 25. And Joshua said, “Why have you troubled us? The Lordwill trouble you this day.” So, all Israel stoned him with stones; and they burned them with fire after they had stoned them with stones. 26. Then they raised over him a great heap of stones, still there to this day. So, the Lordturned from the fierceness of His anger. Therefore the name of that place has been called the Valley of ^[b]Achor to this day.

Prayer that Apaa Family Victims Will be Represented by Reputable Legal Firms, belonging to Acholi People, to Sue the NRM Regime, and President Yoweri K Museveni, in Particular, for Inciting Violence, Responsibility for Causing Injuries, Torture, Killings, Destruction of Properties, and Illegal Eviction of Apaa Residents, with Intent.

Heavenly Father, we pray that those who are directly or indirectly responsible for the criminal cases in Apaa, will be prosecuted, judged, and sentenced to serve their jail terms beforehand. The Apaa Land issues have for long, appeared like an incurable ulcer on the People of Acholi; to other people of Uganda, a laughable matter; an example of how vulnerable Acholi people, of Northern Uganda can be. But wait a minute. The issues of Apaa, Amuru District, has turned direction, now it is another matter; thanks be to God, who created different people for different purposes. God, you created Apaa, now in Amuru District and the people there, for your own Glory, that no one can share. But to them, God, you have given Blessings and Wealth, unspeakable. Let no one take it away from them, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

LORD God, While Acholi Elderly women and men were seen by every Ugandan as being half-necked, their upper bodies covered in mud and dust, crying aloud to none, but you their God, cursing those torturing them at their old age, and openly protesting those in the NRM regime, grabbing Apaa Land, some people were thinking they were mad. But let them never demean the crying of the elderly people. Father, thank you for hearing and answering them. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we have seen how desperate the rural farmers in Apaa, Amuru and Gulu, in northern Uganda have been, occupying the UN office for more than three weeks protesting the UN for not being able to protect their Human Rights against the NRM land-grabbing work. If the UN could fail the people, where else could they turn for help, if not you, their only living God?

LORD God, we have seen the Acholi Traditional Chiefs and elders of the Acholi People, in meetings about the situation in Apaa, repeatedly rejecting Acholi Landgrab, at Apaa. Father, we are grateful that you honour the agreement of those who gather in your name, you’re there.

Omniscient God, we’ve also heard of the meetings of Acholi Parliamentary Group, over the issues of Apaa Land Grab, and have seen the actions severally and individually, of the MPs, but they were all thwarted, always, by the Military NRM regime, the UPDF Army and the militarised Police. You who alone know the extent of their commitment, for they are the representative of your people, Lord, use them to stand firm until Apaa Land is left to Apaa rightful Acholi People, and Landowners, we pray in Jesus’ wonderful name. Amen. 

Heavenly Father, we’re also aware that the Uganda National Army (UPDF) has been training young militants in Apaa, Acholiland, and consequently, blocked people from accessing the land, while preparing them to fight against any claims of Apaa land by the rightful owners, the Acholi people. Where does the UPDF Army Commander get orders from? Who is the Commander in Chief of the UPDF? LORD God, you are the LORD of Lords, and King of Kings, is there anything too difficult for you? No; So, you’re able to stop any more killing in Apaa, and let the people be compensated, resettled, worship you and go about doing their work. Amen.

Heavenly Father, the world hears the NRM government agency for Human Rights in Uganda, through the Human Rights Commissioner summoned the MP for Kilak South Gilbert Olanya, on what the commissioner considers on the question of Apaa calls, “allegations of hate speech and sectarianism,” while leaving General Museveni alone, after his prejudicially hate speech, that Apaa belongs to the Madi, and not to the Acholi. Why was she giving selective justice, madam commissioner? Father, look at them and be their rightful Judge, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we have seen severally, many people killed, in Apaa for many years, and many more have disappeared; their whereabouts not known by their families, yet many more have relocated and keeping quiet because of fear from being victimised and killed. Most recently 4 innocent Acholi Men were murdered in their ancestral land in Apaa with no intervention from the NRM Regime. Not even a word of condolence from the president Museveni, but as the Hot News of their Murder surfaced, was also that very day Museveni prejudicially announced that Apaa Land belongs to the Madi, and not to the Acholi people. Lord, we pray thet you help the people of Acholi raise reputable Legal team to sue and prosecute the culprits, whether in the courts in Uganda, or abroad where the victims will find fair hearing, judgment and ruling with appropriate compensation, in Jesus’ name. Amen

Heavenly Father, from all that we’ve seen, from the records in British Libraries and Archives, to many Reports compiled on the Ground in Apaa, Amuru District of Acholi, to the Acholi Traditional Land Laws, and Acholi Parliamentary Group, and the Culpability of the NRM Government on Acholiland, Acholi People are left with nothing else, but sue the NRM government, particularly President Yoweri Museveni, as above. This is a case of Apaa Land, will be tried in Uganda, but in case of certain conditions where witnesses are threatened, the case will receive international ascent to be tried anywhere, the International Courts of Justice. Lord, help us, empower Acholi People to take notice, from today on, we pray, that you grant the justice that they deserve. In Jesus’ name, we have prayed. Amen.

In those days Hezekiah was sick and near death. And Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, went to him and said to him, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Set your house in order, for you shall die, and not live. 2. Then he turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the Lord, saying, 3. “Remember now, O Lord, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what was good in Your sight.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.

4.And it happened, before Isaiah had gone out into the middle court, that the word of the Lordcame to him, saying, 5. “Return and tell Hezekiah the leader of My people, ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely, I will heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord. 6. And I will add to your days fifteen years. I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for My own sake, and for the sake of My servant David.”

7.Then Isaiah said, “Take a lump of figs.” So, they took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered. 8. And Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “What is the sign that the Lordwill heal me, and that I shall go up to the house of the Lordthe third day?” 9. Then Isaiah said, “This is the sign to you from the Lord, that the Lord will do the thing which He has spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees or go backward ten degrees?”

10.And Hezekiah answered, “It is an easy thing for the shadow to go down ten ^[a]degrees; no, but let the shadow go backward ten degrees.” 11. So, Isaiah the prophet cried out to the Lord, and He brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down on the sundial of Ahaz. 12. At that time ^[c]Berodach-Baladan the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah, for he heard that Hezekiah had been sick. 13. And Hezekiah was attentive to them and showed them all the house of his treasures—the silver and gold, the spices and precious ointment, and all his armoury—all that was found among his treasures. There was nothing in his house or in all his dominion that Hezekiah did not show them.

14.Then Isaiah the prophet went to King Hezekiah, and said to him, “What did these men say, and from where did they come to you?” So, Hezekiah said, “They came from a far country, from Babylon.” 15. And he said, “What have they seen in your house?” So, Hezekiah answered, “They have seen all that is in my house; there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shown them.”

Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Hear the word of the Lord: 17. ‘Behold, the days are coming when all that is in your house, and what your fathers have accumulated until this day, shall be carried to Babylon; nothing shall be left,’ says the Lord. 18. ‘And they shall take away some of your sons who will ^[f]descend from you, whom you will beget; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.’ 19. So, Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “The word of the Lordwhich you have spoken is good!” For he said, “Will there not be peace and truth at least in my days?”

Ephesians 4:20-30
But you have not so learned Christ, 21.  if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

25.Therefore, putting away lying, “Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbour,” for we are members of one another. 26. “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, 27 nor give place to the devil. 28. Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labour, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need. 29. Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. 30. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

Heavenly Father, we praise you and give you glory always, for you alone are God. We thank you for the abundant wealth that you have given to the Acholi People, everywhere, in Acholiland. We pray that you give wisdom to the Acholi People to use their wealth well, and not be reckless with them, else you are Almighty God, you do not share your glory with any man. We pray Lord, that you who have given wealth to Acholi People will also help the Acholi People with power and authority to protect their wealth, and not lose it to non-entities, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
