89). Prayers For Acholi People to Honour the Almighty God and Receive His Grace Now

Deuteronomy 11:13-17
And it shall be that if you earnestly obey My commandments which I command you today, to love the Lord your God and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul, then I will give you the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil. 15. And I will send grass in your fields for your livestock, that you may eat and be filled.’ 16. Take heed to yourselves, lest your heart be deceived, and you turn aside and serve other gods and worship them, 17 lest the Lord’s anger be aroused against you, and He shut up the heavens so that there be no rain, and the land yield no produce, and you perish quickly from the good land which the Lord is giving you.

1 Kings 18:21-22
And Elijah came to all the people, and said, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people answered him not a word. 22. Then Elijah said to the people, “I alone am left a prophet of the Lord; but Baal’s prophets are four hundred and fifty men.

Heavenly Father, we pray, standing in the gap and repenting for the Acholi People, from all that they have done, which are not in conformity with your commands, and all they failed to do; and, together with all the other people groups throughout the world, the Acholi people have also grown distant from you, their Heavenly Father, through the years. But today, we ask for your mercy, forgiveness, and help, that you’ll encourage them to depart from their sins and pray together before your throne of grace and mercy, the prayer of repentance and agreement, as one people, and return to serve you, with all their strengths, their souls, hearts and minds. Lord, accept these prayers for the Acholi people to help them live a quiet life, free of sin, and filled with God’s Scriptures. According to your Word, let them offer their thanksgivings to you, as they pursue restoring the life that they all deserve as humble followers of Jesus Christ. Amen.

 90). Prayer For the Acholi People to Have Healing and Humility

Malachi 4:2-5
But to you who fear My name; The Sun of Righteousness shall arise, with healing in His wings; And you shall go out and grow fat like stall-fed calves. 3. You shall trample the wicked, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day that I do this,” Says the Lord of hosts. 4. “Remember the Law of Moses, my servant, Which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel, With the statutes and judgments. 5. Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.

2 Chronicles 7:14
If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

1 Corinthians 12:28-30
And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracle, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. 29. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? 30. Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?

Heavenly Father, we pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, asking that you send your Holy Spirit, and grant healing to Acholiland. Let your holy word fill our human lives and help bind us together as a people. Allow the death of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary, to be our reason to stay away from all wicked ways and grant us humility with your great power and wisdom. Allow us to live peaceful and quiet lives and prompt each one to become a proud member of your living church here on earth. Remind us that our sins and evil thoughts will lead us nowhere but the pains of hell. Together, as brothers and sisters, we pray in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

91). Prayer For Acholiland to Find the Light of God Amidst the Darkness in the World.

Micah 7:8
Rejoice not over me, O mine enemy; when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.

Matthew 4:16
The people who sat in darkness saw a great Light; and to them that sat in the region and shadow of death, Light has sprung up.”

1 John 2:15
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Heavenly Father, hear us as we say our prayers for Acholiland and Acholi People in the world, We pray for all Acholi People in all the nations of the world that they will see your light and mercy amidst the darkness and all the distractions in this world. May the suffering of your Son Jesus Christ grant freedom to us, your people. Allow our actions to bring justice to Jesus’ death. Please lift each one of us with your gospel from the Bible and deliver us from eternal pain. Amen.

92). Prayer For Acholiland and All Families to Follow God and His Works

1 Peter 5:8-9
Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walketh about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren who are in the world.

1 John 4:4
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.

2 Peter 1:4
Thereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises, that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Heavenly Father: You are our savior. Bless us and remind the leaders of Acholi and every family to always seek the truth. Let your works be known across this vast land, and let your power and glory bring courage and freedom to all, Christians, and non-Christians alike. Let your loving care reassure us of your kingdom and lead us to your righteous abode. All these prayers for our people we offer in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

93). Prayer For Acholiland and The Safety of Acholi people

Psalm 91:1-16
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most-High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him will I trust.” 3. Surely, He shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler and from the noisome pestilence. 4. He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust; His truth shall be thy shield and buckler. 5. Thou shalt not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flieth by day, 6 nor of the pestilence that walketh in darkness, nor of the destruction that layeth waste at noonday. 7. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand, but it shall not come nigh thee.

8. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. 9. Because thou hast made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most-High, thy habitation, 10 there shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. 11. For He shall give His angels charge over thee to keep thee in all thy ways. 12. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. 13. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder; the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample underfoot. 14. “Because he hath set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he hath known My name. 15. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honour him. 16. With long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation.”

Heavenly Father, hear us as we pray for the sake of the lives of Acholi people. Show your mercy, deliver them from death, and forgive us for our shortcomings. Today, LORD God, we ask you to grant us protection from the threats that try to overwhelm us: terrorism, lawless violence, and abductions. Let your words from all the Bible verses be our refuge as we face hardship in the name of our Lord. Amen.

94). Prayer For Acholiland and Acholi Leaders to Have Wisdom, and Guidance of the

Almighty God.

Ecclesiastes 8:1-10
Who is like a wise man? And, who knows the interpretation of a thing? A man’s wisdom makes his face shine, And the sternness of his face is changed. 2. I say, “Keep the king’s commandment for the sake of your oath to God. 3. Do not be hasty to go from his presence. Do not take your stand for an evil thing, for he does whatever pleases him.” 4. Where the word of a king is, there is power; And who may say to him, “What are you doing?” 5. He who keeps his command will experience nothing harmful; And a wise man’s heart discerns both time and judgment, 6. Because for every matter there is a time and judgment, Though the misery of man increases greatly. 7. For he does not know what will happen; So, who can tell him when it will occur? 8. No one has power over the spirit to retain the spirit; And no one has power in the day of death. There is no release from that war; And wickedness will not deliver those who are given to it. 9. All this I have seen, and applied my heart to every work that is done under the sun: There is a time in which one-man rules over another to his own hurt. 10. Then I saw the wicked buried, who had come and gone from the place of holiness, and they were forgotten in the city where they had so done. This also is vanity.

 Psalm 143:1
Hear my prayer, O Lord, Give ear to my supplications! In Your faithfulness answer me, And in Your righteousness. Do not enter into judgment with Your servant; For in Your sight no one living is righteous. 3. For the enemy has persecuted my soul; He has crushed my life.

Heavenly Father, we come to you on bent knees of our hearts, to diligently pray for your guidance over our leaders, just like Jesus prayed for guidance in the garden of Gethsemane.

We pray for Acholiland to have leaders who are well-guided by your word and whose dedication to serving the people is unparalleled.

Make us great by having leaders with substantial honour and respect for both the leaders of other nations and their people.

Appoint us your heaven-sent leaders and give us hope for a better future ahead of us. Hear us as we say prayers for our land on behalf of other people in Acholiland, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Almighty God, we pray that you touch all the leaders and convince them not to lean solely on their knowledge, which is perishable, but upon the wisdom of God, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Grant them the encouragement from above, so that they may be able to lead our people courageously and smartly, guided by your Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Lord, cause them to be men of dignity and women of virtue, and bring no ill thoughts to those in Godly authority, but obedience to the kingdom of God, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Deuteronomy 1:15-20
So, I took the heads of your tribes, wise and knowledgeable men, and made them heads over you, leaders of thousands, leaders of hundreds, leaders of fifties, leaders of tens, and officers for your tribes. 16. “Then I commanded your judges at that time, saying, ‘Hear the cases between your brethren, and judge righteously between a man and his brother or the stranger who is with him. 17. You shall not show partiality in judgment; you shall hear the small as well as the great; you shall not be afraid in any man’s presence, for the judgment is God’s. The case that is too hard for you, bring to me, and I will hear it.’ 18. And I commanded you at that time all the things which you should do.

Proverbs 4:7-10
Wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get wisdom; and with all thy getting, get understanding. 8.  Exalt her, and she shall promote thee; she shall bring thee honour when thou dost embrace her. 9. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”

Heavenly Father, we pray that you grant wisdom unspeakable, to Acholi leaders, that they may know how not deal wisely with the people and problems facing the Acholi people now. Give them understanding and let your favour be upon them and let them always be guided by your Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ name. Amen.  

95). Prayer For Acholi Leaders to Be Compassionate

Exodus 33:19
Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.”

Deuteronomy 30:3
That the Lord your God will bring you back from captivity, and have compassion on you, and gather you again from all the nations where the Lord your God has scattered you.

2 Chronicles 30:9
For if you return to the Lord, your brethren and your children will be treated with compassion by those who lead them captive, so that they may come back to this land; for the Lord your God is gracious and merciful and will not turn His face from you if you return to Him.”

Psalm 145:8
The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy.

Luke 15:20
“And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.

Heavenly Father, we come before your throne of grace and mercy, praising you, and rejoicing in your spirit as we receive you. We come together in unity as we seek no righteous person but those with a heart filled with your compassion and understanding for others.

We pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, that you will help us walk one morning in a neighborhood where your prosperity and influence can be seen everywhere. Permit no evil to corrupt the heart and mind of every official and lead them to your light. We have faith in you and your church, Lord, and we pray these prayers for our land in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

96). Prayer For Acholiland and All Authorities to Establish proper Control Over People

Psalms 115:16
The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s; But the earth He has given to the children of men.

Lord God, Look over us, the Acholi people and Acholiland, and all other nations, with us. Help us to see the importance of respecting your authority you’ve given us over the Land. Likewise, allow all individuals you’ve given authority to show diligence towards those following their lead. We pray, God, that you grant us a harmonious relationship with one another on the Acholiland. Amen.

97). Prayers For Acholi Land to Experience God’s Provisions

Leviticus 25:18
‘So, you shall observe My statutes and keep My judgments, and perform them; and you will dwell in the land in safety.

Lord Jesus Christ, Lead the people of Acholiland to healing, have unity, and help us live our lives in the light of your mighty provisions from heaven. With your glory and power, help us stand against fear, together with other believers in your blessed name. Bring justice to Acholi land and grant them strength not to be divided or discouraged. Hear us as we say our prayers, Lord. Amen.

98). Prayers For Acholi People and Acholiland to Trust in God’s Will

Matthew 6:10
Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

He trusted in God; let Him deliver Him now if He will have Him; for He said, ‘I am the Son of God.’”

Heavenly Father, hear our prayers, As the Acholi people we put all trust in you, for Acholiland. We pray that you will be with us in all the endeavors we face. We offer our thanksgiving, Lord God, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

99). Prayers For Acholiland and Activities in it to Be Driven by Godly Wisdom & Prudence

Job 11:6
That He would show you the secrets of wisdom! For they would double your prudence. Know therefore that God exacts from you Less than your iniquity deserves.

Hiram also said: Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, who made heaven and earth, for He has given King David a wise son, endowed with prudence and understanding, who will build a temple for the Lord and a royal house for himself!

Heavenly Father, we pray, that as believers in your blessed name, Lordship and Kingdom, and authority, we come as one family to ask you to allow all our leaders and government officials to be convicted by their conscience, so they may have knowledge and wisdom in the things they do. Let your Word convict them to do the right thing, and so what they do right will make the world see Acholi People and Acholiland as a model of unity and harmony. Let all actions be according to your will. All these prayers for Acholi nation are prayed in Jesus’ name. Amen.

100). Prayer For Acholiland to Have Peaceful, Successful Elections of Prudent Leaders.

Isaiah 10:13
For he says: “By the strength of my hand I have done it, And by my wisdom, for I am prudent; Also, I have removed the boundaries of the people, And have robbed their treasuries; So I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man.

Isaiah 29:14
Therefore, behold, I will again do a marvellous work Among this people, A marvellous work and a wonder; For the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, And the understanding of their prudent men shall be hidden.

Hosea 14:9
Who is wise? Let him understand these things. Who is prudent? Let him know them. For the ways of the Lord are right; The righteous walk in them, But transgressors stumble in them.

Almighty God, be with us as we will conduct our national and local elections, so that the people may freely choose their right leaders to lead the country and the people; and may all truly democratic election officials maintain the orderliness, honesty, and obedience to the entire electoral process of choosing our next national and local leaders. LORD God, be with us and hear our prayer, so we may elect Godly leaders, at a time like this, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

101). Prayer For Acholiland and Acholi People to Embrace Sustainability in their Lives.

Nehemiah 9:21-25
Forty years You sustained them in the wilderness; They lacked nothing; Their clothes did not wear out; And their feet did not swell. 22. “Moreover You gave them kingdoms and nations; And divided them into districts. So, they took possession of the land of Sihon; The land of the king of Heshbon; And the land of Og king of Bashan. 23. You also multiplied their children as the stars of heaven; And brought them into the land Which You had told their fathers; To go in and possess. 24. So the people went in; And possessed the land; You subdued before them the inhabitants of the land; The Canaanites; And gave them into their hands, With their kings And the people of the land, That they might do with them as they wished. 25. And they took strong cities and a rich land, And possessed houses full of all goods; Cisterns already dug, vineyards, olive groves; And ^[d]fruit trees in abundance. So they ate and were filled and grew fat, And delighted themselves in Your great goodness.

Let your light shine over us and defend our thoughts from ungodly things that seek to hinder our transformation. Listen to the prayer of your children, Lord. Amen.

102). Prayer For Acholiland and People to Have Unity After All Diverging Ideologies

Ephesians 4:1-6
I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, 2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, 3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

1 Corinthians 12:12-26
For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. 13. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. 14. For in fact the body is not one member but many.

15. If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? 16. Almighty God, our Heavenly Father, help us to celebrate our unity, and embrace our diversity when confronted with varying ideologies. Unite our land, and do not let our clashing concepts get in the way of uniting all opposing parties. Hear my prayer, Oh God, and let this be the beginning of a new world where differences do not divide the people but be a point of riches. Amen.

103). Prayer For Acholiland and Acholi People to Pursue Righteousness Above Sin

Proverbs 14:34
Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.

Genesis 18:19
For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the Lord, to do righteousness and justice, that the Lord may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him.”

Deuteronomy 9:4
“Do not think in your heart, after the Lord your God has cast them out before you, saying, ‘Because of my righteousness the Lord has brought me in to possess this land’; but it is because of the wickedness of these nations that the Lord is driving them out from before you.5. It is not because of your righteousness or the uprightness of your heart that you go in to possess their land, but because of the wickedness of these nations that the Lord your God drives them out from before you, and that He may fulfill the word which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. 6. Therefore understand that the Lord your God is not giving you this good land to possess because of your righteousness, for you are a stiff-necked people.

Heavenly Father, we entrust to you the future of Acholiland, and Acholi People as we devote ourselves to pursuing a life that is anchored in your grace and mercy. We pray that your Son’s death, of our Lord and Saviour, will to us never be in vain, and we seek to give justice to the freedom that you have granted to us, your people. LORD God, let your scriptures be our guide and help us find answers to the questions we have in mind that will lead us to your gift of repentance, and eternal life. As one church founded on your sacrifices, we join hands and confess one baptism, and we pray to you as our one and only true God. Let no sin surpass the protection you have granted us, in Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, as we continue to pray and seek your face and mercy, even as an individual or as Acholi nation, we come to you knowing and trusting that you hold great and mighty power. We all, therefore, profess one faith and seek your Rhema word as one big faithful congregation through Your scriptures. In that light and by your guidance, we will be ready and more capable of changing the entire Acholiland and celebrate a brighter and more peaceful future with all mankind. As sons and daughters in Christ, we must never forget how powerful our God is and thus follow that our faith should be in Him who has the power to give and take away.
