DAY 18 OF 40 DAYS. Indictment Against Acholiland-Grabbers, Sellers, Traitors, the Silent Acholi, and Hypocrites.
72). Prayer Against Acholiland Grabbing, Corruption, Selling, Connivance, Hypocrisy.
1 Kings 21:1-14
Sometime later there was an incident involving a vineyard belonging to Naboth the Jezreelite. The vineyard was in Jezreel, close to the palace of Ahab king of Samaria.
2. Ahab said to Naboth, “Let me have your vineyard to use for a vegetable garden, since it is close to my palace. In exchange I will give you a better vineyard or, if you prefer, I will pay you whatever it is worth.”
3. But Naboth replied, “The Lord forbid that I should give you the inheritance of my ancestors.”
4. So, Ahab went home, sullen and angry because Naboth the Jezreelite had said, “I will not give you the inheritance of my ancestors.” He lay on his bed sulking and refused to eat.
5. His wife Jezebel came in and asked him, “Why are you so sullen? Why won’t you eat?”
6. He answered her, “Because I said to Naboth the Jezreelite, ‘Sell me your vineyard; or if you prefer, I will give you another vineyard in its place.’ But he said, ‘I will not give you, my vineyard.’”
7. Jezebel his wife said, “Is this how you act as king over Israel? Get up and eat! Cheer up. I’ll get you the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.”
8. So, she wrote letters in Ahab’s name, placed his seal on them, and sent them to the elders and nobles who lived in Naboth’s city with him.
9. In those letters she wrote: “Proclaim a day of fasting and seat Naboth in a prominent place among the people.
10. But seat two scoundrels opposite him and have them bring charges that he has cursed both God and the king. Then take him out and stone him to death.”
11. So, the elders and nobles who lived in Naboth’s city did as Jezebel directed in the letters, she had written to them.
12. They proclaimed a fast and seated Naboth in a prominent place among the people.
13. Then two scoundrels came and sat opposite him and brought charges against Naboth before the people, saying, “Naboth has cursed both God and the king.” So, they took him outside the city and stoned him to death.
14. Then they sent word to Jezebel: “Naboth has been stoned to death.”
16. When Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, he got up and went down to take possession of Naboth’s vineyard.
17. Then the word of the Lord came to Elijah the Tishbite: 18. “Go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, who rules in Samaria. He is now in Naboth’s vineyard, where he has gone to take possession of it.
19. Say to him, ‘This is what the Lord says: Have you not murdered a man and seized his property?’ Then say to him, ‘This is what the Lord says: In the place where dogs licked up Naboth’s blood, dogs will lick up your blood—yes, yours!’”
Heavenly Father: You gave Acholiland to our ancestors as a blessing, to continue tilling from generations of Acholi people after the other, without ceasing. Acholi people since, have been increasing, but Acholiland remains productively the same in quantity, size. It is the sole responsibility, much as it is communal, for Acholi people to keep, protect, till and manage the land, from generation to generation, after another. It’s not for sale, to anybody, by anybody.
Heavenly Father, make those who try to take over Acholiland by force, or by trickery, bear the consequences of their actions. As they have done to Acholi people, do to them. Let their abuse of power and authority, which they have exercised over Acholi people over the years now become their payback time. Let their actions not pass unpunished; but let them have no rest from now onwards, so the Acholi people may find resting time to praise you and time to worship and serve their only God, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
LORD God, we maintain that any Acholi man or woman who sells any piece or portion of Acholiland has sold their Birthright, and ownership of the land. They have the right to move away from Acholiland and move elsewhere. They have lost their right, authority, and power over Acholiland, in its entirety. They also have the right to the money go with the money or whatever they received as price for what they didn’t have authority to sell. They have the right to argue their case with whoever demands them for refund of their money, outside Acholiland. Help Acholi people, Lord, to let their verdict remains, without anybody rubbishing and overturning it, or else, let them be cursed.
Proverbs 3:5-7
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. 7. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.
1 Corinthians 15:57-58
But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain.
Heavenly Father, as we pursue difficult cases Rising Against Acholi people’s future existence, Protection and saving Acholiland, we pray that You our only God, may walk with us through your Holy Spirit, on the difficult roads ahead. As we believe in your infinite power and authority, we also trust that we will win, Acholi People will be victorious, once and for all, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Psalm 20:5-8
May we shout for joy over your victory and lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the Lord grant all your requests. 6. Now this I know: The Lord gives victory to his anointed. He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power of his right hand. 7. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.
Psalm 44:6-10
I put no trust in my bow, my sword does not bring me victory; 7 but you give us victory over our enemies, you put our adversaries to shame. 8. In God we make our boast all day long, and we will praise your name forever.
Psalm 60:11-12
Give us aid against the enemy, for human help is worthless. 12. With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies.
Psalm 44:3-5
It was not by their sword that they won the land, nor did their arm bring them victory; it was your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, for you loved them. 4. You are my King and my God, who decrees victories for Jacob. 5. Through you we push back our enemies; through your name we trample our foes.
Heavenly Father: You are aware, that the enemy has used evil powers, fought Acholi People for over 50 years now, and he has falsely taken over state power and authority, taken over national wealth and now wants to take over Acholiland, the Gift of our God, to Acholi people. Now, the Acholi people, their friends, sympathisers, and Christians, worldwide, ask you in obedience and humility of heart, to stop the enemy from grabbing Acholiland, whether directly, or through proxy means of using Balaalo, a drone tactics.
We also oppose, reject, and decry the tactics of Acholiland Grabbing through the state, forcefully turning Communally owned Acholiland, into Government Freshly Ranches, inflating, increasing, and corrupting data concerning the well-known old Government Ranch sizes. These corrupt state powers and actions have resulted into Acholi people losing land and some forced out of their ancestral homes; well-known pieces of land.
Heavenly Father, we ask you for urgent divine intervention to rid Acholiland of Land-grabbers, wherever they are, remove them from their power, and authority, the way you removed Adam and Eve, for they have sinned against Your Creation, Your Commands. You gave Acholiland to Acholi people, but now they have flooded the land with Balaalo. Most of the Balaalo, were former NRA soldiers, who fought Acholi people and killed them in thousands, raped their men, women and children, and displaced hundreds of thousands, put them into concentration camps to die, meanwhile destroying Acholi peoples’ properties. Now they have come back with Guns and Money, supplied by the state, to occupy and eventually take over Acholiland, with its rich mineral resources. God forbid. As they go, may Your curses follow them with their descendants forever. Amen.
Ezekiel 33:6
But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes someone’s life, that person’s life will be taken because of their sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for their blood.’
Jeremiah 9:5-9
Friend deceives friend, and no one speaks the truth. They have taught their tongues to lie; they weary themselves with sinning. 6. You live in the midst of deception; in their deceit they refuse to acknowledge me,” declares the Lord. 7. Therefore this is what the Lord Almighty says: “See, I will refine and test them, for what else can I do because of the sin of my people? 8. Their tongue is a deadly arrow; it speaks deceitfully. With their mouths they all speak cordially to their neighbours, but in their hearts, they set traps for them. 9. Should I not punish them for this?” declares the Lord. “Should I not avenge myself on such a nation as this?”
Heavenly Father, equally guilty of Acholi persecution are those Acholi Daughters, and Acholi Sons, who support that the Balaalo must stay in Acholiland; they’re Traitors, Accomplices of Land-grabbing and those who have sold Acholiland wholly or in part, to the so-called Investors, and Balaalo, without proper consultation with the Acholi people. But they should know that what they are, and what they have done to Acholi as a Nation, will never be forgotten. They also should know that Acholi people know them, and their crime against Acholi Nation will never go away, and they also know that Acholi people don’t forget their painful history and that time will come when Acholi people momentarily pays their dues, to relieve them from the suffering vented against them.
Heavenly Father, the slothful Acholi people, who don’t want to work the land, but rather eat from corruption of those running the state, and the Balaalo, may have, or not sold Acholiland to the Balaalo; they prefer the Balaalo or themselves to fence Acholiland in order to get entitlement over Acholiland; those look warm Acholi sympathisers with Land-grabbers and Balaalo; they are either serving or talking good with the persecuting authority, and come to sweet-talk Acholi community. Are they any different from the Land grabbers, no. They are instead, advocates of Land-grabbing, because they want to protect their bread, they can not talk the truth against the persecuting authority or individuals involved in Acholi Land-grabbing. What should Acholi people do with them?
Job 15:34
For the company of hypocrites will be barren; And fire will consume the tents of bribery.
Job 36:13
“But the hypocrites in heart store up wrath; They do not cry for help when He binds them.
Isaiah 33:14
The sinners in Zion are afraid; Fearfulness has seized the hypocrites: “Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?”
Matthew 23:23
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone.
Luke 11:44; 12:56
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like graves which are not seen, and the men who walk over them are not aware of them.”12:56. Hypocrites! You can discern the face of the sky and of the earth, but how is it you do not discern this time?
LORD God, look at those who’ve decided to keep quiet over Acholi most serious, crisis; those who are supposed to stand tall and publicly talk loudly to address Acholiland-grab. Mostly shocking, are those so calling themselves Members of Parliament, MPs. Who are they representing? Themselves? Senior citizens, Civil servants, Businessmen, and Businesswomen. They cannot bite the Big Finger that feeds them. Hypocrites. Heavenly Father, help us, to deal with them the same way You will deal with the Land-grabbers themselves; they are more painful because those are the people expected to speak uncompromising language to the rulers of the day. Lord help us, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
