DAY 17 OF 40 DAYS: PROTECTION OF ACHOLILAND AND CONTROLLING IT FROM BEING SOLD BY ANYONE.

71). Prayer to Protect Acholiland, and Acholiland Being Sold by Anybody, to Anyone.  

Psalms 115:16-18
The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s; But the earth He has given to the children of men. 17. The dead do not praise the Lord; Nor any who go down into silence. 18. But we will bless the Lord From this time forth and forevermore. Praise the Lord!

Heavenly Father, on behalf of Acholi Nation, we thank you for the gift of Land you have lovingly given to the Acholi people, the portion of the earth, called Acholiland. The responsibility to protect Acholiland and manage it well, preserve it for the effective use by the future Acholi generations, is the duty of every Acholi man or woman, including the government of the day. Any Acholi man or woman, and government, failing this single most important responsibility has also failed and betrayed Acholi Nation and the gift and test of God.

2 Timothy 3:2-5
People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

Micah 2:4
In that day people will ridicule you; they will taunt you with this mournful song: ‘We are utterly ruined; my people’s possession is divided up. He takes it from me! He assigns our fields to traitors.’”

Heavenly Father, we all know that your gift of Land to Acholi people is for life now and posterity. Therefore, it must be known and practiced by all, that Acholiland is not for sale by all humans; Henceforth, Acholiland must not be sold by anybody whoever s/he maybe; Acholi man, woman, or in the worst scenario, any government. Anybody, or government selling Acholiland, or any piece of Acholiland, is a traitor, who has betrayed Acholi people and betrayed God.

John 18:1-5
When he had finished praying, Jesus left with his disciples and crossed the Kidron Valley. On the other side there was a garden, and he and his disciples went into it. 2. Now Judas, who betrayed him, knew the place, because Jesus had often met there with his disciples. 3. So Judas came to the garden, guiding a detachment of soldiers and some officials from the chief priests and the Pharisees. They were carrying torches, lanterns, and weapons. 4. Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them, “Who is it you want?” 5. “Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied. “I am he,” Jesus said. (And Judas the traitor was standing there with them).

Psalm 59:5
You, Lord God Almighty, you who are the God of Israel, rouse yourself to punish all the nations; show no mercy to wicked traitors.

Acholi people, therefore, contend and resolve, Decree and Declare, that any Acholi man or Acholi woman who will be found to have sold Acholiland or will sell any piece of Acholiland of any description, whether be it customary land, communal land, or any piece of Acholiland of any description, will have sold his or her Birthright. It therefore means, s/he has no rights over any piece of Acholiland, and has no rights, to live on Acholiland, anymore. It follows forthwith, that S/he has Expelt themselves from Acholiland, and must therefore leave Acholiland immediately. However, they have the rights to go/move and live or work in any parts of the world, to avoid controversy, conflict and cause any danger in Acholiland.

Judges 8:5-8
He said to the men of Sukkoth, “Give my troops some bread; they are worn out, and I am still pursuing Zebah and Zalmunna, the kings of Midian.” 6. But the officials of Sukkoth said, “Do you already have the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna in your possession? Why should we give bread to your troops?” 7. Then Gideon replied, “Just for that, when the Lord has given Zebah and Zalmunna into my hand, I will tear your flesh with desert thorns and briers.” 8. From there he went up to Peniel^[a] and made the same request of them, but they answered as the men of Sukkoth had.

Isaiah 21:2
A dire vision has been shown to me: The traitor betrays, the looter takes loot. Elam, attack! Media, lay siege! I will bring to an end all the groaning she caused.

Judges 8:14-16
He caught a young man of Sukkoth and questioned him, and the young man wrote down for him the names of the seventy-seven officials of Sukkoth, the elders of the town. 15. Then Gideon came and said to the men of Sukkoth, “Here are Zebah and Zalmunna, about whom you taunted me by saying, ‘Do you already have the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna in your possession? Why should we give bread to your exhausted men?’” 16. He took the elders of the town and taught the men of Sukkoth a lesson by punishing them with desert thorns and briers.

Similarly, any government, whether be it local or national, found to have grabbed Acholiland, for false use or misuse, with the permission of a few people in Acholi, or without the permission of Acholi community, must be expelled from Acholiland, or Nation in which Acholiland is part.

2 Samuel 21:1-6
During the reign of David, there was a famine for three successive years; so David sought the face of the Lord. The Lord said, “It is on account of Saul and his blood-stained house; it is because he put the Gibeonites to death.” 2. The king summoned the Gibeonites and spoke to them. (Now the Gibeonites were not a part of Israel but were survivors of the Amorites; the Israelites had sworn to spare them, but Saul in his zeal for Israel and Judah had tried to annihilate them). 3. David asked the Gibeonites, “What shall I do for you? How shall I make atonement so that you will bless the Lord’s inheritance?” 4. The Gibeonites answered him, “We have no right to demand silver or gold from Saul or his family, nor do we have the right to put anyone in Israel to death.” “What do you want me to do for you?” David asked. 5. They answered the king, “As for the man who destroyed us and plotted against us so that we have been decimated and have no place anywhere in Israel, 6 let seven of his male descendants be given to us to be killed and their bodies exposed before the Lord at Gibeah of Saul—the Lord’s chosen one.” So, the king said, “I will give them to you.”

The Land God has given to our Acholi ancestors, is not for sale by anybody, nor grab by any authority, but for the blessing of His children, whom from generation to generation of the Acholi people past and future worship Him and praise His Holy Name, for what He has done and will do for them. No one, therefore, or authority, will have peace, whoever so defy God’s covenant.

Ezekiel 17:13-19
Then he took a member of the royal family and made a treaty with him, putting him under oath. He also carried away the leading men of the land, 14 so that the kingdom would be brought low, unable to rise again, surviving only by keeping his treaty. 15. But the king rebelled against him by sending his envoys to Egypt to get horses and a large army. Will he succeed? Will he who does such things escape? Will he break the treaty and yet escape? 16. “‘As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, he shall die in Babylon, in the land of the king who put him on the throne, whose oath he despised and whose treaty he broke. 17. Pharaoh with his mighty army and great horde will be of no help to him in war, when ramps are built and siege works erected to destroy many lives. 18. He despised the oath by breaking the covenant. Because he had given his hand in pledge and yet did all these things, he shall not escape. 19. “‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: As surely as I live, I will repay him for despising my oath and breaking my covenant.
